Shiran Shapira

Shiran Shapira is an accomplished professional in the field of oncology and molecular biology, currently serving as the Head of the Cancer Prevention Section at the European Society for Medical Oncology since December 2022. Concurrently, Shapira holds a position as a Senior Lecturer and previously as a Lecturer at Tel Aviv University since February 2017. In addition, Shiran is the Chief Scientific Officer at OBCTCD24 since January 2020 and has led the Laboratory of Molecular Biology at the Integrated Cancer Prevention Center since July 2016. Shiran's research background includes a role as a researcher at the Integrated Cancer Prevention Center at Tel Aviv Medical Center since September 2011. Shiran obtained a PhD in Development and Potential Applications of Anti-CD24 Antibody from Tel Aviv University, alongside an M.Sc with Excellence in Neurobiochemistry and a B.Sc, Summa cum laude, in Biology and Chemistry.
