Gianluca Pontone, MD, PhD, currently serves as Vice President of the European Association Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) and has held various leadership roles within the organization since December 2020, including Vice President Elect for the Nuclear and CT section. Since January 2001, Gianluca Pontone has directed the Cardiovascular Imaging Department at Centro Cardiologico Monzino IRCCS and has been actively engaged in multiple capacities, including Directorship of the MR Unit. Gianluca Pontone is a board member of the EACVI and the European Society of Cardiology, holding the title of Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (FSCCT). Academic contributions include serving as an adjunct professor at Yonsei University from March 2017 to March 2019 and being a prior board member of the European Society of Cardiac Radiology. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Clinical Methodology from the University of Milan and multiple postgraduate degrees in Radiology and Cardiology. Certifications include Level III in both cardiac CT and cardiac MR from relevant professional societies.
