Michael von Poncet M.D.

Michael von Poncet, MD, PhD, currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Medical & Clinical Affairs at Sirtex Medical Limited since June 2023 and previously held the position of Vice President of Medical Affairs for the Americas and EMEA. As a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology since January 2018, Michael has contributed significantly to various organizations, including serving as a Steering Committee Member for the National Hypertension Control Roundtable from January to June 2023. Prior experience includes the role of Executive Medical Director of the US at Novartis from October 2021 to May 2023 and multiple senior roles at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from February 2014 to September 2021, focusing on neuroscience and cardiovascular medicine. Michael's educational background includes a Facharzt in Kardiologie and a degree in Humanmedizin from the University of Düsseldorf, complemented by management training at Columbia Business School.
