Shehab Anwer

Shehab Anwer serves as Associate Editor for Social Media at The International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging since January 2024. With extensive involvement in the European Society of Cardiology since 2016, Shehab holds positions as Editor for the European Heart Journal - Imaging Methods and Practice, Media Committee board member, and is an active professional member of various cardiovascular imaging associations. As an Emerging Editorial Consultant for the American College of Cardiology, Shehab reviews submissions for 'JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging.' Shehab also contributes to the Magdi Yacoub Foundation as a Cardiology Fellow and Research Data Manager, and fulfills the role of Medical Needs Assessment Physician for UNHCR. Previous experiences include a Postdoctoral Fellowship at University Hospital Zürich, founding a team for Infective Endocarditis at National Heart Institute, and participating in public health research initiatives. Shehab holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Ain Shams University, earned in 2012.
