Sergio Gonzalez

Sergio Gonzalez is a highly experienced professional in the field of electronic engineering and operations management, currently serving as the Support and Quality Assurance Group Leader at the European Southern Observatory since December 2002. With a progressive career at the same organization, roles have included Deputy Support & Quality Assurance Group Leader, Head of Maintenance (I), Production Group Leader of the Maintenance Department, and Electronic Engineer. Prior to this, Sergio held the position of Electrical Supervisor at Aserraderos Las Lumas - ARAUCO and served as an Electronic Technician in the Armada de Chile. Academic qualifications include a Diploma of Operations Management from Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias de la Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, a Diploma of Physical Asset Management from the University of Toronto, an Industrial Engineer degree from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, and electronic technician training from Escuela de Operaciones de la Armada.
