Theofylaktos Apostolou

Theofylaktos Apostolou is an accomplished biotechnology expert with extensive experience in scientific research and development. Currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer at Embio Diagnostics Ltd since January 2018, Theofylaktos also holds the position of Scientific Collaborator at European University Cyprus since October 2021. Previously, Theofylaktos completed a PhD at Agricultural University of Athens, where significant research focused on the development of biosensors for biological and medical applications. Key projects include evaluating fungal strain sensitivity and pesticide detection through collaboration with various organizations, including iBERA AG and under EU programs. Theofylaktos has also gained international experience during a secondment at InoCure in Prague. Educational achievements include a PhD in Biotechnology and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from Agricultural University of Athens, complemented by an impressive academic record at St. George’s Lyceum Larnaca.
