Auguste Bertholet

Auguste Bertholet, PhD, currently serves as a Scientific Collaborator at Patek Philippe since February 2023. Between September 2014 and November 2023, Auguste held multiple positions at the University of Lausanne, including FNS Researcher and PhD Candidate in Modern History, focusing on eighteenth-century intellectual history as part of the FNS project "Enlightenment Agrarian Republics." Additional roles at the University included Research Collaborator, where Auguste established a genealogical database, and Student Assistant/Webmaster, assisting in organizing undergraduate courses. Short-term engagements include a Visiting Scholar position at Stanford University in October 2022, researching the Gustave Gimon Collection. Auguste contributed to various projects, including publication efforts at EPFL and digital mediation with the State of Geneva.
