Latife Akyuz

Latife Akyuz is a Senior Research Fellow at European University Viadrina since April 2022, with a distinguished academic background in sociology. Previously, Latife served as an Einstein Fellow at Humboldt University of Berlin from January 2020 to October 2022, and held a Dr. position at Goethe University Frankfurt/Main from December 2016 to October 2022. Latife also worked as an Assistant Professor at DÜZCE ÜNİTESİ between March 2014 and January 2016, and was a visiting researcher at Université de Liège in 2015. Early in Latife’s career, research assistant roles were undertaken at METU from September 2002 to June 2013. Latife Akyuz holds a PhD in Sociology from Middle East Technical University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Ankara University.
