Barbara Celis

Barbara Celis is currently the Head of Team at Europol, having previously served as a Senior Analyst and Analyst within the organization from 2011 to 2015. Prior to Europol, Barbara held the position of Senior Analyst at the European Asylum Support Office from 2015 to 2020 and worked as a Strategic Analyst for the Belgian Federal Police from 2002 to 2011. Barbara's diverse academic background includes Bachelor's Degrees in Criminological Studies and Chinese Studies from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, as well as advanced studies in Chinese Language and Literature at National Cheng Kung University. Barbara's teaching experience includes serving as a Chinese language teacher at Groep T from 2005 to 2011 and an earlier role as a Reservations Agent with Virgin Express Airlines.
