Gregory Mounier

Gregory Mounier has had a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Gregory worked at Europol from 2008, starting as a Specialist External Relations in the Office of the Director, then becoming the Team Leader External and Strategic Affairs in 2010. In this role, they provided strategic advice to the Director, maintained relationships with lawmakers, and devised strategies for EU legislations. From 2015 to 2019, Gregory served as the Head of Outreach and Internet governance at the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3), where they managed stakeholders and developed cybercrime policies. Gregory also held the role of Head of Team at the Europol Innovation Lab. Prior to Europol, Gregory worked as a Guest Researcher at SWP and as a Seasonal Lecturer at the University of Reading. Gregory also gained experience as a Research Intern at the Office of the High Representative and as a Consultant in European Affairs at Eamonn Bates Europe Public Affairs. Gregory began their career as an Intern in the Cabinet of the Vice-President of the European Commission, supporting inter-institutional affairs and speech writing.

Gregory Mounier has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Administration and Law from Sciences Po Grenoble, which they obtained from 1999 to 2004. Gregory then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in European Politics and Administration from the College of Europe, completed in 2004. In 2006, they commenced their doctoral studies in Politics and International Relations at the University of Reading, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in 2010. Additionally, in 2001 and 2002, they acquired a Certificate in European Law from the University of Amsterdam, specializing in EU law and EU competition law. Lastly, in 2015 and 2016, Gregory Mounier obtained an Advanced Diploma in Internet Governance from DiploFoundation.
