Jean-Philippe LECOUFFE has extensive work experience in law enforcement and defense. Jean-Philippe is currently serving as the Deputy Executive Director Operations at Europol. Prior to this, they held various positions in the Gendarmerie Nationale, including Général de corps d’armée, adjoint au major général and sous-directeur de la police judiciaire. Jean-Philippe also served as the Commandant la Région de gendarmerie de Languedoc-Roussillon and Commandant le groupement de l'Hérault. Jean-Philippe has also worked as a Conseiller Gendarmerie in the French Ministry of Defence and as Colonel de Gendarmerie - Attache de sécurité intérieure at the French Embassy in Kaboul. Before that, they commanded the groupement de l'Isère in Grenoble and the section de recherches de Versailles. Jean-Philippe has also served in various roles within the Ministry of Defence and the Gendarmerie's Division des relations internationales and Commandement de la Nouvelle-Calédonie.
Jean-Philippe LECOUFFE attended École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr from 1985 to 1988, where they studied strategie et relations internationales. Prior to that, they completed their preparatory classes at Lycée Henri Poincaré from 1982 to 1985 in preparation for the entrance exam of École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr. In 1988, they also attended Ecole des officiers de la Gendarmerie Nationale for one year, although no degree or field of study is specified.
