Mark O Meara

Mark O'Meara has a extensive work experience in the technology industry. Mark is currently working at Eurowings Digital as an Engineering Manager, leading a team of Android, iOS, and backend mobile developers. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Android Developer at Eurowings, where they played a key role in modernizing the Eurowings app and improving the user experience.

Before joining Eurowings, Mark worked as an Android Developer at Premier Inn, where they utilized various technologies such as Kotlin, RxJava, Dagger 2, MVVM, and Clean Architecture to develop the hotel chain's app. Mark also gained experience as a Consultant and Android/Java Developer at Deloitte Digital, working on projects for major clients and utilizing modern libraries such as Retrofit and Dagger.

Earlier in their career, Mark worked as a Technology Consultant and Java Developer at Deloitte Ireland, where they were involved in modifying applications and developing a Solr-based search web application. Mark also interned at Organizing for Action, which was the successor of President Barack Obama's re-election campaign, and worked on a recruitment project as a Technology Integration Intern at Deloitte Ireland.

Furthermore, Mark gained experience as an office assistant to Terence Flanagan T.D. at Dail Eireann and worked as a self-employed Personal Maths Tutor. Mark also worked at Sportslink, a large sports center, where they handled day-to-day IT issues and provided support to customers.

Mark O'Meara obtained a BA(Mod) & Masters degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications. In December 2013, they completed the Business Analysis Practice certification from BCS. In February 2013, they became a Java SE 6 Programmer, Certified Professional through Oracle. In January 2014, they obtained the Certified Tester Foundation Level certification from ISTQB-BCS. Finally, in August 2016, they became a certified Scrum Master through the Scrum Alliance.
