Michael Whittle

Michael Whittle has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Michael began their career as an intern at NACFAM in 1993. Michael then worked as an Analyst at CEB from 1994 to 1996, where they advised financial institutions on industry trends and customer profitability. Following that, they worked as a Research Analyst at Celfin Capital from 1997 to 1998, focusing on utility companies in Latin America.

In 1999, they joined Banc of America Securities as a Senior Equity Research Associate, where they covered telecommunications infrastructure companies and provided equity research coverage. Michael then joined Logictier in 2000 as the Director of Business Development, where they led the strategy for bandwidth and data center partnerships. In 2001, they joined PPL Global as a Senior Manager of Finance, managing acquisitions and investments in Latin America.

From 2004 to 2011, they worked at AES, initially as the Director of Analysis and later as the Director of Wind Generation M&A and Development. In these roles, they managed monthly reporting, budget processes, and key performance metrics data for AES Corporation. Michael also successfully acquired and managed wind projects in the US and Latin America.

Following their time at AES, they worked at AES-Gener from 2011 to 2014 as the Vice President of Development, responsible for developing and implementing strategic growth plans for the company. During this time, they achieved the financial close of a major power plant project in Chile.

In 2014, they joined SunEdison as the Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for EMEA & LATAM, before moving on to become the Vice President at Eurus Energy America Corporation in 2016. Throughout their career, Michael Whittle has demonstrated expertise in finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and development.

Michael Whittle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College, which they attended from 1988 to 1992. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Foreign Services at Georgetown University from 1992 to 1994.
