Alec Byrne

Alec Byrne is an experienced flight dynamics engineer currently serving at Eutelsat OneWeb, where responsibilities include trajectory planning and analysis for a fleet of 652 spacecraft, as well as resource planning for the OneWeb network. Prior experience includes roles as Systems Engineering Lead for CranSEDS on the first hybrid rocket engine, Avionic Subsystems intern at BAE Systems, and Software Engineer at One Identity, where programming skills were utilized to develop applications. Alec also gained practical experience through a flight simulation internship at the German Aerospace Center and worked as a lifeguard during early career stages. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Astronautics and Space Engineering from Cranfield University, a Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Limerick, and an exchange program in Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
