Samuel Ahmala has a diverse work experience in various roles within different companies. Samuel started their career as an IT Support at Eduhouse Oy in 2007. Samuel then worked as a Trainee at Metso Automation in 2008 and as a Trainee, Project Design at STX Finland Cruise Oy in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Trainee, Design at STX Finland before joining Arctech Helsinki Shipyard in 2011. At Arctech Helsinki Shipyard, they served as a Trainee, Sales from 2011 to 2012, Master's Thesis Worker from 2012 to 2013, Designer from 2013 to 2013, and Project Planner from 2014 to 2015.
In 2015, Samuel joined Evac Group and held various roles including Project Manager from 2015 to 2018 and Senior Project Manager from 2019 to 2019. Samuel then served as Head of Project Management Office from 2019 to 2021, Head of Project Management, Evac Germany from 2020 to 2021, and Head of Project Management, Retrofits (acting) and Head of Project Management, Newbuilding from 2021 to present. Throughout their career, Samuel has demonstrated expertise in leading large cruise ship projects, specialized vessel projects, and demanding retrofit projects. Samuel has extensive experience in change management, overseeing project execution, and participating in sales and post-delivery processes. Additionally, they have been involved in development projects, including project management process development and ERP system development steering.
Samuel Ahmala completed their education from 2006 to 2013 at Aalto University, where they earned a Master of Science / M.Sc. (Tech.) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Samuel also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Nordic Process Improvement Oy in February 2023.
