Chet Velani

Chet Velani has extensive experience in the financial services industry. Chet started their career as an Actuarial Analyst at Towers Watson in December 2008 and continued in that role until January 2011. In January 2011, they joined EV - Financial Solutions as a Consultant Actuary, where they were responsible for designing and executing numerical testing and verification of calculation methodology for financial planning tools. Chet also worked closely with the product team and clients to develop new tools. In February 2016, Chet became an Actuarial Team Manager at EV - Financial Solutions, leading a team of junior and senior actuaries and overseeing project delivery. Chet then transitioned to a role as a Technical Sales Specialist from November 2016 to March 2018 before being promoted to Marketing Director. As the Marketing Director, Chet developed a new marketing strategy and built a new marketing team to support the company's growth ambitions. In April 2019, they took on the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) before being promoted to Managing Director in September 2020.

Chet Velani completed their education in Actuarial Science from the University of Kent, where they studied Mathematics, Economics, and Business from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they attended Havering Sixth Form College from 2003 to 2005, pursuing A-levels in Mathematics, Physics, Economics, and Business Studies. Chet Velani also holds certifications from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, including Fellow (obtained in 2016) and Associate (obtained in 2014).
