Shelley Groves

Shelley Groves is an accomplished academic professional currently serving as an Associate Professor of English at Evangel University since August 2023. Prior to this role, Shelley held several leadership positions at Southwestern Christian University from May 2019 to July 2023, including Interim Director of Graduate Studies and Director of Global Education & Institutional Outreach. Experience at Mid-America Christian University involved serving as Co-Director of Teacher Education from August 2017 to May 2019. From August 2005 to July 2017, Shelley contributed significantly to Southwestern Christian University as Chair of Language Arts and Dean of Arts & Sciences. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Instructional Leadership in Academic Curriculum from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Southern Nazarene University, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in English Education and Social Studies Education from Evangel University.
