Amy Richey

Co-international Leader, Asia Division, Reachglobal at EFCA

Amy Richey has a diverse work experience starting from 1996 until present. Amy began their career as a Legislative Aide in the Michigan House of Representatives, where they assisted with legislation, worked with constituents, and represented elected officials in meetings. Amy then worked as a District Representative for the Michigan Legislature from 2001 to 2003. Following this, they joined Calvary Church as the Director of Junior High Ministries from 2001 to 2005. Amy also worked at Calvary Church Grand Rapids MI as the Coordinator of Student Missions, planning and executing student mission trips. From 2007 to 2009, Amy worked as a Consultant at Church Planters' Training International, helping churches reach out to their communities in various ways. Amy then joined ReachGlobal EFCA, where they served in multiple roles. From 2009 to 2014, they were the Kyiv City Team Leader, focusing on social injustices in Ukraine. From 2014 to 2017, Amy served as the Director of Community Development, leading the Community Development Team on ReachGlobal's Global Equipping Division. Currently, they are the Executive Director of Global Equipping at EFCA/ReachGlobal, working to catalyze gospel movements alongside ReachGlobal divisions and national partners. Amy's work has involved prevention of human trafficking, addressing social injustices, assisting with the AIDS crisis, and empowering communities.

Amy Richey completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with a minor in English, from Cornerstone University between 1984 and 1989. Following this, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in InterCultural Studies from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, which they pursued from 2005 to 2008. Lastly, Amy pursued a PhD in InterCultural Studies from Biola University between 2009 and 2018.
