Robert Arends

Robert Arends is an experienced media relations and community outreach professional with a background in public relations spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Media Relations & Community Outreach Manager for Evans Hotels since May 2021, Arends manages media relations for prominent properties including Bahia Resort Hotel, Catamaran Resort Hotel, and The Lodge at Torrey Pines. Prior roles include Public Relations Manager at the San Diego Tourism Authority from October 2010 to May 2020 and Account Executive at JWalcher Communications from 2006 to October 2010. Additionally, Arends held the position of National Public Relations Manager at the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau from 1996 to 2005. Arends holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Broadcast News from Pepperdine University.
