Søren Vester Kofoed has been working in the field of neuroscience since 2015. In that year, they began an internship at the Center for Basic and Translational Neuroscience, Nedergaard Lab, where they created a real-time, colony management system and managed the lab supply inventory system. In 2017, they began working at the Center for Neuroscience, Copenhagen University as a Research and Laboratory Assistant, conducting a viral neuronal anterograde tracing experiment and assisting with ad hoc tasks in the laboratory. Søren Vester also took on an Intern role at the Danish Society for Neuroscience, where they were in charge of the development and management of The Brain Prize App and worked in close cooperation with the Lundbeck Foundation. Most recently, in 2019, they began working at Evaxion Biotech A/S, where they have held the roles of Research Associate, Junior Research Associate, and Student Assistant in the Preclinical Development of Cancer Vaccines.
Søren Vester Kofoed attended Roskilde University from 2015 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedical Sciences. In 2016, they participated in a Bachelor Student Exchange at the University of Dundee in the School of Life Science. The following year, they completed a 4th Semester Project at the University of Copenhagen in the Center of Neuroscience and participated in a Bachelor Student Exchange at Deakin University in the Faculty of Science: Biological Science. In 2018, they returned to the University of Copenhagen to pursue a Master of Science in Human Biology, which they completed in 2020.
