Abko W.

Abko W. has a wide range of experience in various roles and companies. Abko started their career as a Software Engineer and worked at Philips Asa lab where they contributed to the development of satellite receivers for international clients. Abko later moved to Thales Communications as a Requirements Engineer before joining Ordina as a Consultant, where they worked on projects for multiple companies.

In 2001, Abko W. became a Program Manager at Agere Systems, leading a team and managing the development of outdoor access products. Abko then joined Proxim Wireless as a Program Manager, responsible for the development, production, and release of Wifi products.

At Irdeto, Abko W. held multiple roles, including Program Manager for Digital TV, where they successfully launched a new generation Conditional Access system. Abko also served as a Project Manager, planning work for client systems and coordinating activities with international teams. As a Product Owner and Product Launch Manager at Irdeto, they oversaw the successful launch of Smartcard CA products.

Abko W. then joined Tele2 Nederland as a Technical Product Owner, where they gathered and prioritized business needs and ensured their delivery by offshore Scrum teams. Abko also handled reporting, communication, and alignment with stakeholders and other parties involved in new product development.

Currently, Abko W. works at EVBox as a Senior Product Owner, responsible for breaking down the product roadmap into features for scrum teams. Abko collaborates with product management, system engineering, and software architecture to create valuable increments that fit in a single SAFe program increment.

Abko W. began their education in 1989 at NHL Hogeschool, where they pursued a Bachelor of ICT in Computer Science. This course lasted until 1994. In 1994, Abko joined Saxion University of Applied Sciences and completed a Bachelor of Business Engineering in Business Science (BK-5) by 1995.

In terms of additional certifications, Abko has obtained the "Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager" certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in July 2021. Abko also holds certifications as a "Certified Professional Scrum Product Owner" from Scrum.org, a "Certified ScrumMaster" from Scrum Alliance, as well as "PRINCE2 Foundation" and "PRINCE2 Practitioner" certifications from APMG International.
