Romulus Portwood Jr has a diverse work experience in event marketing and management. Romulus started their career as a Publicist for Feld Entertainment, representing Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Romulus then worked as the Assistant Director of Public Relations for Ritz Carlton San Francisco, managing press releases and relationships with journalists. Later, Romulus worked as the Account Executive for Highway One, where they managed national event marketing and sampling programs.

Romulus then moved on to Informix Software as a Trade Show Manager, overseeing corporate trade shows and developing lead tracking systems. After that, they worked at Nortel Networks as a Marketing Manager, responsible for strategic planning and partner marketing.

Romulus then joined Adobe Systems, Inc. as the Senior Manager for Worldwide Tradeshows, Events & Professional Associations, where they managed multiple events and conferences. Following that, they worked at Hewlett-Packard as a Marketing Events Manager, responsible for content management and exhibit pavilion for security conferences.

Romulus also had a temporary contract position at Crawford Communications Group as a Sponsor Concierge, managing sponsors for global conferences.

In 2010, Romulus started their own marketing consulting firm called Portwood & Company, specializing in project and event management. Currently, they are working as the Vice President of Event Marketing Strategy for Event Marketing Partners.

Romulus Portwood Jr attended the University of Oregon from 1982 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Romulus'sstudies focused on Public Relations, Political Science, and English Literature.
