Michael Harvey

Michael Harvey has a diverse work experience in the field of research and data analysis. Michael began their career at Headspace Health as a Quantitative Researcher for three months, where they worked on projects involving data cleaning, analysis, and presentation. Michael used R to analyze data from the Member Census Survey, extracting insights related to app usage, health goals, personality, and relationships.

Michael then joined Eventbrite as a Machine Learning Researcher. In this role, Michael works with a multidisciplinary team to conduct a longitudinal study on event experiences, mental health, and social connection. Their primary responsibility is to build, test, and compare various statistical machine learning models using a sample of over 1,500 Eventbrite patrons. The study aims to provide valuable insights into the impact of events on mental health and social interactions.

Michael Harvey has a diverse education history. Michael obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Psychology from The University of Georgia, where they studied from 2019 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed their Master's Degree in Psychology at Wayne State University from 2016 to 2019. Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Delaware, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. For their secondary education, Michael attended Freehold Township High School and received their High School Diploma from there, studying from 2009 to 2012. In addition to their academic degrees, they also obtained a certification as a Data Scientist with R Track from DataCamp in December 2020.
