Varun Madan

Varun Madan is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Head of Engineering at Eventual since August 2025, focused on transforming data workflows. Previously, Varun held the position of Head of Engineering at Onehouse, overseeing the engineering organization in the US and India to develop a next-generation data platform. At Confluent, Varun was a Senior Director of Engineering for the Streaming Platform, managing engineering for several key products and launching Confluent Stream Designer. Varun's tenure at Oracle included roles as Senior Director of Software Development for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, where leadership spanned serverless computing and container services, and as Director in the Container Native Group. Early experience includes positions at Amazon Web Services managing engineering teams for Amazon WorkDocs and WorkMail. Varun holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
