Toomas Hendriks Ilves

Toomas Hendriks Ilves is currently an advisor at Everest. Toomas was previously a visiting professor at Columbia | SIPA from January 2020 to March 2020. Prior to that, they were a distinguished visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University from July 2017 to June 2020. From January 2017 to July 2017, they were the Bernard and Susan Liautaud Visiting Fellow at Stanford University. From October 2006 to October 2016, they served as the President of Estonia. From January 2002 to January 2004, they were a member of the Riigikogu (the parliament of Estonia) and from January 1996 to January 2002, they were the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Estonia. In 2004, they became the Vice President of the Foreign Affairs Committee for the European Parliament and held that position until 2006.
