Valeria Avila Guerrero

Valeria Avila Guerrero has five years of work experience in the field of engineering. In 2020, they began working as a Robotics Engineer and Mechanical Engineering Intern at EverestLabs.AI. In 2019, they were a Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) and Prototyping Lab Assistant at Santa Clara University. In 2018, they were an Institute for Research and Learning - Informal Learning Tinkering Intern at Exploratorium. In 2017, they were an Associate Estimator and Planner at Brightlight Welding & Manufacturing Bright Light, where they drafted engineering drawings for customer prototypes, collaborated with machinists and welders to design weld fixtures, prepared requests for quotes for customers, and developed relationships with local suppliers. Additionally, they were a Summer Intern at SCU Robotic Systems Lab.

Valeria Avila Guerrero received their Associate's Degree in Mathematics, Physics and Engineering from Contra Costa College in 2016. Valeria then attended Santa Clara University where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2018, followed by their Master's Degree in Robotics and Mechatronics in 2021.
