Alina Hamden

Vice President, Community Engagement at EVERFI

Alina Hamden has a strong background in community engagement, global partnerships, and operations and accounts. Alina started their career at the Institute of International Education in 2009, where they held the positions of Program Manager for the International Visitor Leadership Program and Regional Lead for the Middle East and North Africa Fulbright Scholar Program. In these roles, they acted as a key point of contact, developed recruitment strategies, and represented the organization to external parties. In 2015, they joined EVERFI as the Director of Operations and Accounts for National Partnerships, where they optimized cross vertical opportunities, ensured accurate business intelligence, and created key dashboards for the executive management team. Alina then moved up to the roles of Senior Director of Global Partnerships, Chief of Staff for Global Partnerships, and currently serves as the Vice President of Community Engagement.

Alina Hamden's education history includes obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Management and Entrepreneurship from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, which they completed between 2013 and 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Spanish from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Alina also briefly attended Universidad de Córdoba in 2007 to further their studies in Political Science, Spanish, and Spanish History, although the specific degree obtained is unknown.
