James Dare

James (Jamie) Dare is an accomplished professional in strategic sourcing and operations management, currently serving as the Lead Strategic Sourcing Consultant - IT at Evergy since July 2018. With prior experience at Kansas City Power & Light as a Sr. Category Manager and Manager of Category Management, Jamie has a proven track record of delivering value through innovation and collaboration. Jamie’s tenure at H&R Block involved managing energy supply procurement and developing strategies that significantly improved efficiency and reduced operating expenses. As Chief Operations Officer at Winntech, Jamie led the company from start-up to over $12M in sales, while earlier roles included management positions at UPS, overseeing both inbound and outbound operations. Jamie holds a B.S. in Management and a B.S. in Business Administration from Emporia State University.
