Jason Humphrey

As vice president of development and assistant treasurer, Jason Humphrey leads Evergy’s effort to add generation resources to the fleet and finance the business.

Mr. Humphrey joined Westar Energy in 2008 as a plant engineer and has held numerous positions within the company including generation plant manager, director of gas fired generation, director of performance excellence, director of integration success, senior director of finance and assistant treasurer and senior director of renewables and assistant treasurer.

Mr. Humphrey holds a bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering with a nuclear engineering option from Kansas State University and an MBA from Baker University.

He serves on the board for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Topeka and the Downtown Topeka Foundation.
