Ioannis Dimakopoulos

Ioannis Dimakopoulos currently serves as the Decarbonization Retrofit Technical Project Manager in R&D at MAN Energy Solutions, managing technical projects related to Methanol Dual-Fuel conversion. Prior to this role, Ioannis was onboard vessel solutions lead at the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping and contributed to the creation of a position paper on methane emissions reduction. Ioannis has also worked as a Sustainability Engineer at the American Bureau of Shipping and as a Machinery Supervisor for LNGC new building projects at Minerva Gas Inc. Academic credentials include an ongoing Executive MBA in Shipping & Logistics from Copenhagen Business School, a Master of Science in Naval Architecture, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering from Newcastle University.
