Deian Stefan

Deian Stefan is a highly accomplished scholar and entrepreneur with extensive experience in computer science and electrical engineering. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at Cubist since May 2022, Deian also contributes as a Board Member for the Bytecode Alliance and as an Associate Professor at UC San Diego since July 2016. Previously, Deian co-founded Intrinsic, which was acquired by VMware, between 2016 and 2019. Deian holds a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Stanford University, along with a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
