Frank Fanzilli

Frank J. Fanzilli, has served as an advisor to our company since it’s inception. Frank brings to the Firm extensive experience in the technology field, as both an operating executive, board member, and advisor to startups at all stages. Frank spent 18 years in an executive role at Credit Suisse, where he was a Managing Director and the Global Chief Information Officer, and a member of the Operating Committee and Information Executive Board. Frank remains at CS as a Senior Advisor, where he works with their venture investing arm (the NeXT Fund) on a wide range of investments tech and fintech. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Frank was an engineer with IBM, where he managed systems engineering and software development for Fortune 50 accounts.

Frank has also serves as a board member for several innovative companies in the software space, as well as an advisor to a broad range of investors in technology (including Ridge Ventures, Goldman Sachs, and others). Frank’s current board memberships including iBoss, The Linux Foundation (where he is Treasurer and Chairman of the Audit Committee), EnterpriseDB, Skytap, and CommVault. Previously, he has served on the boards of many notable companies in the tech sector, including Calypso (acquired by Bridgepoint/Summit Partners), where Frank was Lead Director, 1010Data (acquired by Advance/Newhouse), Avaya (acquired by Silverlake/TPG), Peoplesoft (acquired by Oracle), and a variety of others.

He obtained his Bachelor’s degree Cum Laude, from Fairfield University and his Master’s in Business Administration, With Distinction, from New York University, where he was the Marcus Nadler Scholar. Frank also completed the Director’s College at Stanford University Law School.

He maintains a large and very active network of industry relationships, which he uses to the benefit of our venture as well as the other companies on whose boards he serves.
