Katie Garrett

Katie Garrett has been employed in the field of education since 2008. Katie began their career as a teacher at Franklin Simpson High School, followed by a teaching role at the NYC Department of Education in 2009. In 2014, they transitioned to a school librarian role at Metro Nashville Public Schools. In 2022, they began a data analyst apprenticeship at Nashville Software School, where they gained experience with data analytics fundamentals, problem solving, Microsoft Excel, ETL, Agile methodology, PostgreSQL, Tableau, PowerBI, and Git/GitHub. Katie is currently employed as a Data Analyst at EveryDay Labs.

Katie Garrett has a varied education history. In 2022, they will receive a Certificate in Data Analytics from Nashville Software School. From 2010 to 2011, they earned a Master's degree in School Library Media Specialist from Western Kentucky University. From 2004 to 2007, they earned a Bachelors in Education and Spanish from Western Kentucky University. In 2003, they attended Vanderbilt University, but did not receive a degree.
