Everytown for Gun Safety
Samantha Mell is an accomplished individual with significant experience in leadership and technical education. Currently serving as a National Organizing Board Member for Everytown for Gun Safety, Samantha has developed national strategies for training and managed a team of over sixty leaders in leading workshops and national events focused on gun violence prevention. As an active member of the Society of Women Engineers at North Carolina State University, Samantha participated in the Women in Engineering 2024 conference. Prior experience includes roles as Outreach, Business, and Media lead for FIRST Team 9150, founding and presiding over the Women in STEM Organization's NCSSM branch, and completing the Girls Who Code Self-Paced Summer Program, where technical skills in various programming languages and data science were acquired. Samantha is pursuing dual Bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering at North Carolina State University after graduating from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.
