Helen Huang, CHRL

Helen Huang, CHRL has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and industries. Helen is currently working as the Director of Talent at DistillerSR since 2023. Prior to this, they held roles at Innovapost, where they served as the Director, HRBP from December 2021 to May 2023 and as the Manager, HRBP from March 2020 to December 2021. Helen also worked at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology as an Employee & Labour Relations Specialist from October 2018 to March 2020, and as a Human Resources Business Partner from January 2015 to September 2018. Moreover, they gained valuable experience as a Human Resources Business Partner at Champlain CCAC from October 2010 to December 2014, where they received recognition and awards for their performance. Helen started their career at Deloitte as a Talent Experience Specialist from January 2009 to September 2010 and as a Campus Recruitment Specialist from July 2008 to December 2008. Helen's earlier experience includes working at CIBC as a Sr Lead Resourcing Consultant (Regional Team Lead) from September 2000 to June 2008. Throughout their career, Helen has demonstrated proficiency in various HR functions such as talent management, HR business partnering, employee and labor relations, change management, conflict resolution, and recruitment.

Helen Huang, CHRL has a diverse education history that includes various certificates and degrees. Helen obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree in Finance & International Business from McGill University. In 2019, Helen completed an Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate from the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor, specializing in mediation and conflict resolution through the Stitt Feld Handy Group.

In 2017, Helen attended Aptus Training Solutions Ltd. and completed a Conducting Workplace Investigations Workshop, focusing on conflict solutions. Helen also obtained a Certificate in Alternative Dispute & Conflict Resolution from the Mediation Centre of Southeastern Ontario in 2013-2014.

Helen has completed the academic requirements for CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) certification from Algonquin College and Carleton University. Additionally, they received formal certification as a CHRP. Furthermore, Helen completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) from the Canadian Securities Institute in December 1997.

Helen has also pursued several additional certifications. Helen obtained the "One-Minute Habits for Hybrid and Remote Working Success" certificate from LinkedIn in November 2022. In July 2020, they completed the "Operational Excellence Foundations" certification, also from LinkedIn. In May 2020, Helen obtained certifications in "Cultivating a Growth Mindset" and "Learning Cloud Computing: Core Concepts", both from LinkedIn. Helen's additional certifications also include the "SafeTalk certified Helper Resource" from Algonquin College in February 2017 and the "Certified Human Resources Leader" from the Human Resources Professionals Association in February 2000.
