Matt Mcdonald

Matt is Co-Founder and COO of Evil Eye Pictures. Matt’s background in Architecture in the early 90’s became a springboard into computer graphics and visual effects during the profession’s evolution from analog to digital at Columbia University's first “paperless studio”.

Matt has contributed visual effects and supervision to over 60 films, including Academy Award winners for Visual Effects The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Matt has also contributed to a range of broadcast, online, and mobile projects including winning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Main Title Design for Between the Lions on PBS.

In 2015 Matt pivoted his efforts at Evil Eye to various real-time, 360, immersive, virtual reality projects. He supervised the primary creative crew at Evil Eye Pictures in collaboration with Google Spotlight Stories to produce both Pearl and On Ice.
