Catherine Maher

Catherine Maher, PhD, joined Evofem Biosciences as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance in early 2019. Catherine earned her PhD in 2000 from Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine and has been developing drugs since then. Most of Catherine’s experience has been in regulatory strategy at small companies focused on populations with significant unmet medical needs. Prior to joining Evofem, Catherine led the NDA submission, defense, advisory committee, and approval of cannabidiol for patients with Dravet Syndrome or Lennox Gastaut syndrome. Catherine believes there is a significant unmet need for non-hormonal, woman controlled contraceptive options.
