Genay Jones

Genay Jones is a Principal Program Scientist at Evonik since June 2014, specializing in the technical and strategic planning of innovation and development projects for complex and high-value products, particularly in advanced biomaterials and medical device materials. Prior roles at Evonik included Senior R&D Scientist, focusing on polymer manufacturing operations and process development, and Senior Scientist, where responsibilities encompassed project management and technical leadership in parenteral excipient manufacturing. Previous experience at CryoLife, Inc. involved the synthetic investigation of bioabsorbable tissue adhesive materials, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Kentucky focused on electroactive acene derivatives. Genay Jones holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Florida and a BS in Chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
