Alessandro Balella

Alessandro Balella, PhD, is a Research Scientist at Evotec since January 2022, specializing in API oligonucleotides process development. Previously, from August 2018 to December 2022, Alessandro served as a Marie Curie PhD Researcher at the University of Birmingham, focusing on the synthesis and applications of pluripotent frameworks for drug discovery. Prior experience includes a Marie Curie PhD Researcher position at Symeres from January 2020 to August 2021, and an internship at Università degli Studi di Ferrara, where Alessandro contributed to research on the synthesis of the NOP antagonist LY2940094. Alessandro holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham, completed in 2022, and a Laurea in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from Università degli Studi di Ferrara, earned in 2017, along with a diploma in chemical engineering from ITIS Nullo Baldini obtained in 2011.
