Katrin Ridders

Principal Scientist

Katrin Ridders is a Principal Scientist at Evotec, leading initiatives on immune-shielding of allogeneic iPSC-derived cell therapeutics across various medical fields, including diabetes, heart repair, and ophthalmology. With extensive experience as a Senior Research Scientist, Katrin has contributed to iPSC-derived cardiomyocyte optimization, immune-shielding strategies, and cross-site small molecule development programs focused on metabolic diseases. Previous roles include a Lecturer at XLAB and a Graduate Research Associate at the Max-Planck-Institute for Experimental Medicine, where Katrin researched exosome biogenesis and its implications in neurodegenerative diseases while supervising doctoral candidates. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from the University of Göttingen and a Diploma in Biology from the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg.
