Mathew Perez-Neut, PhD has a diverse work experience in various research roles. Mathew is currently working at Evozyne as the Head of Mammalian Cell Culture R&D since November 2022. Prior to that, they were a Research Scientist at Evozyne from November 2021 to October 2022.

Before joining Evozyne, Mathew was associated with the University of Chicago from July 2015 to November 2021. In this role, they were a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and a Doctoral Candidate in Cancer Biology. Mathew conducted research in Dr. Yingming Zhao's lab, focusing on using mass spectrometry-based proteomics to identify novel epigenetic marks involved in human physiology and disease.

Prior to their time at the University of Chicago, Mathew worked as a Visiting Research Specialist II at Loyola University Chicago from 2013 to June 2015. Mathew also gained research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Illinois at Chicago from March 2011 to July 2013.

Mathew Perez-Neut, PhD obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2012. Mathew later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at the University of Chicago from 2015 to 2021. Additionally, they attended a Proteomics course at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in 2016.
