Tim van Beek has a diverse work experience in the field of electric vehicles and infrastructure. In 2012, they started their own company, EVConsult, where they served as the owner. Tim then held several advisory and project management roles in various organizations, including Gemeente Rotterdam, Gemeente Arnhem, Metropoolregio Rotterdam Den Haag, and Ahold Delhaize. In 2017, Tim worked as an advisor for the Asian Development Bank, Enpuls, and Gemeente Amsterdam, focusing on EV infrastructure and sustainability. In 2018, they became the Chief Executive Officer at EVtools. Most recently, Tim worked for Rijksoverheid as a project leader for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Tim van Beek attended Delft University of Technology from 1995 to 2002, where they earned a degree in Urban Design. In 1997, they also enrolled at Leiden University and completed their studies in Public Management in 2003. In 2002, Tim briefly studied at Universiteit van Stellenbosch, focusing on the Skool vir die openbare bestuur field. Additionally, in 2000, they attended KTH Royal Institute of Technology for a short period in the field of Architecture.
