Akhtar Masood has over two decades of experience in the power system and transmission industry, beginning as Assistant Director of System Operation at the National Transmission & Dispatch Company (NTDC) from May 1995 to July 2000. Following this, a role as LDC/Project Engineer at MARAFIQ Power & Water Utility in Saudi Arabia lasted from July 2000 to May 2004, and senior responsibilities as Senior Engineer Real Time Operation at Abu Dhabi Transmission and Despatch Company (TRANSCO) were held from June 2004 to July 2010. Akhtar then served as a Power System Engineer at National Grid from July 2010 to April 2017, specializing in transmission system analysis using various tools. Currently, Akhtar holds the position of Power System Operation Specialist at EWEC since April 2017, also acting as Power Advisor to the System Operations Director. Academic qualifications include an Executive MBA from Preston University, a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NED University, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila.
