Shreyas S. currently serves as a Founding Engineer at Exa, where responsibilities include designing and building a high-performance Vector Database using Rust and managing web-scale infrastructure. Previously, Shreyas worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Volley, developing a game streaming engine and an encryption protocol for TCP communication. Shreyas also gained experience at Gordian Software as a Software Engineer, where notable contributions included engineering a caching proxy that significantly reduced bandwidth usage and creating an OpenAPI schema validation library that enhanced performance.
