M Maggie O'Meara

M Maggie O'Meara is a Senior Research Scientist and Program Manager in Product Development at Exact Sciences since February 2024. Previously, M O'Meara held the position of Manager of Scientific Research at Illumina from November 2021 to December 2023, leading the design and development of next generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation solutions and serving as Assay Development Lead on a partnership project with SomaLogic. M O'Meara has extensive experience at Luminex Corporation as a Manager and Senior Scientist, developing multiplex real-time PCR and DNA hybridization based in vitro diagnostic assays. Earlier career roles include positions at the University of Minnesota and Columbia University Medical Center, focusing on histone methylation and genetic analysis, respectively. M O'Meara holds a PhD in Genetics and Development from Columbia University and a BS in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
