Anthony Ike

Anthony Ike has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Anthony began their career as a Laboratory Analyst at Pharmaron, where they worked from January 2010 to July 2014. Anthony then transitioned into a role as a Linux System Administrator at ALS, where they worked from November 2014 to July 2016. Following this, Anthony joined Dominion Technologies as a DevOps Engineer in July 2016, and played a significant role in improving observability strategies for frontend and backend services using tools such as Datadog and AWS CloudWatch. Anthony also defined SLIs and SLOs, reducing non-actionable alerts and enhancing issue visibility. As of October 2021, Anthony became a Senior Platform Engineer at Exactuals, leveraging AWS services such as ECS, CloudFront, RDS, CloudWatch, and application monitoring tools to ensure highly available and scalable payment web applications. Anthony also actively participates in a 24/7 on-call shift rotation, providing timely incident response.

Anthony Ike obtained a Master's degree in Instrumentation Technology/Technician from Robert Gordon University during the period of 2007 to 2009.
