Pete Peterson

Pete Peterson has extensive work experience in various roles related to data privacy and compliance. Pete is currently serving as the Director of Data Privacy Practice at Exadel, starting in September 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Capability Director of Data Privacy & Compliance at Coppei from January 2022 to October 2023. Pete also served as an Enterprise Implementation Manager at WireWheel from May 2020 to June 2021. Before that, they worked at Paradox23, where they were the Founder & Principal from October 2008 to April 2020. Pete also held positions at Getty Images as a Senior Director of Media Management Services from May 2002 to October 2008, and at Enigma, Inc. as the General Manager of Partner Development from 2000 to 2002. Pete began their career at IBM Global Services, where they served as a Certified Principal in the Aerospace Practice from 1997 to 2000 and as a Certified Consultant & Project Manager from 1992 to 1997. In these roles, Pete successfully led consulting services, drove revenue growth, and delivered various projects for clients such as Boeing, Paccar, and Costco.

Pete Peterson, CIPP/E, holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, which they obtained from Stanford University in 1987. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley between 1982 and 1984. In addition to their formal education, Pete has obtained certifications in the field of privacy, including the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in October 2022 and the OneTrust Fellow of Privacy Technology from OneTrust in July 2022.
