Kathleen Wang, MS, PMP has a wealth of experience in the medical field. Kathleen began their career in 2010 at the University of Michigan as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, where they studied the role of lbp-3 in eat-2 mutants to see if the gene was necessary for longer lifespan. In 2011, they began working as a Research Assistant I at the University of Michigan Medical School, where they conducted experimental research to improve treatment options for patients with cancer and hematologic disorders. Kathleen also managed inventory and ordering of lab materials to ensure availability and maintain code compliance. In 2018, they were an NIH H3Africa Visiting Research Fellow at the Noguchi Memorial Instititute of Medical Research, University of Ghana, where they rebuilt a non-functioning principal genetics lab and revived productivity and communication for the National Institute of Health (NIH) Human Heredity and Health Initiative, in West Africa. In 2019, they joined Invitae as a Program Manager and Laboratory Scientist. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as a Research Project and Portfolio Manager at Exai Bio.

Kathleen Wang holds a Bachelor of Science in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Human/Medical Genetics from the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School. Additionally, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in October 2021.
