Martin began their career at AIR Worldwide in 2002 as a Senior Account Executive. William then moved to The Boston Consulting Group in 2009 as a Summer Consultant. In 2010, they joined Corthera as the Director of Operations. Corthera was acquired by Novartis for $620M in February 2010. After Corthera, Martin became the EVP of Corporate Development and Operations at Adynxx in 2011 where they provided strategic advice and operational support for venture backed life sciences companies with a focus on partnerships, M&A and financing strategy. In 2020, Martin rejoined Exalys Therapeutics as the EVP of Corporate Development and Operations.

William Martin has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA in Engineering and Economics from Dartmouth College.
