Heiko Stoermer

Heiko Stoermer currently serves as Vice President of Product Engineering at Exasol, where responsibilities include R&D, Product Engineering, and DevOps for a leading in-memory database vendor. Previously, Heiko held the position of Interim Managing Director for EIT Digital in Italy, focusing on tech entrepreneurship and innovation while contributing to the global Management Committee. A seasoned management consultant, Heiko supported leadership teams on growth strategies and operational excellence. During a significant tenure at SAP, Heiko advanced from SVP roles overseeing the Open Data Initiative and Cloud services to driving growth at hybris software as VP of Developer Support. Heiko co-founded OKKAM s.r.l., contributing to business planning and software architecture. An academic background includes a PhD in Computer Science from Università di Trento and a Diplom Informatiker from Technische Hochschule Augsburg, supplemented by extensive research in Semantic Web and Intelligent Systems.
